Shannon moved to Bellingham from the Midwest in 2007. Since arriving she hasn't gotten enough of the trails, mountains and water. Shannon taught high school and middle school science for 15 years before deciding to take her classroom outdoors. She has been working with a few mountain bike organizations in the community for several years - riding and coaching kids and adults. She was super excited to come on board as Education Director at WMBC in 2022 - it is a perfect mix of her passions! When she is not adventuring outside she enjoys time with her family and friends and dog.
